I worked as a trainee in a General Surgery Department with special interest in abdominal Surgery. In this department I gained confidence in managing surgical patients, as well as acute surgical situations. Parts of my duties were to attend ward rounds, manage pre and post operative patients and attend the outpatient clinic. I have also performed under supervision operations and assisted in major surgical procedures.
As trainee in Obstetrics/Gynaecology, I acquired a thorough grounding in the diagnosis and management of the gynaecological and obstetric patient and my main duties included: attendance at ward rounds, attendance at antenatal and gynaecological outpatient clinics, admission and management of emergency patients, first on-call duties, assisting in theatre and performing operations under supervision of senior staff, participation in vaginal and operative deliveries, attending the postgraduate courses. During these four years as a trainee in Obstetrics/Gynaecology I extended my experience in managing obstetric cases and high risk pregnancies. I also gained confidence dealing with acute gynaecological problems during on-calls covering the large urban area of the city of Athens. My duties included the attendance at Fetal Medicine Clinic, at Urogynaecology Clinic, at Colposcopy Clinic and training in Gynecological Endocrinology, Endocrinology, Cytology and Pathology Departments.
During my professional career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology I developed a special interest in Gynecological Endocrinology. I joined the Menopause Clinic of the University of Athens in Aretaieio Hospital from the year 2003, in order to attain knowledge in this field. I continued to get further experience in Greece during my training years in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in other public clinics. I attended the postgraduate course in “Women Reproduction” and also the post graduate course in “Metabolic bone disorders”. I finished the training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology during the year 2009.

Είμαι Μαιευτήρας – Χειρουργός Γυναικολόγος και έχω υπηρετήσει ως Επιστημονική Συνεργάτης από το 2003 έως το 2013 στη Β΄ Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογική Κλινική της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στο «Αρεταίειο» Νοσοκομείο, με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον στο σύνολο των κλινικών, επιστημονικών, ερευνητικών και εκπαιδευτικών δραστηριοτήτων των τμημάτων, με γνωστικό αντικείμενο Γυναικολογική Ενδοκρινολογία – Κλιμακτηρίου και Εμμηνόπαυσης και Οστεοπόρωσης.
Επισφράγιση των ανωτέρω αποτελούν οι Τίτλοι Ειδίκευσης που έχω λάβει κατά τη διάρκεια του ανωτέρω χρονικού διαστήματος. Αναλυτικότερα, το έτος 2007 ανακηρύχθηκα Διδάκτωρ του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών μετά από ανάπτυξη της διδακτορικής μου διατριβής με τίτλο: «Βιοχημική διερεύνηση δεικτών οξειδωτικού στρες στη συστηματική κυκλοφορία γυναικών με ενδοπυελική ενδομητρίωση στο πλαίσιο χρόνιας φλεγμονής» με βαθμό Άριστα και γνωστικό αντικείμενο: «Μαιευτική Γυναικολογία». Το έτος 2011 έλαβα το Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης (MSc) στην «Έρευνα στη Γυναικεία Αναπαραγωγή», με θέμα διπλωματικής εργασίας: «Συσχέτιση των κλιμακτηριακών συμπτωμάτων με τις ενδογενείς ορμόνες του φύλου και υπερηχογραφικούς δείκτες πρώιμης αθηρωμάτωσης και αγγειακής βλάβης», με βαθμό «Άριστα (8.87)» και γνωστικό αντικείμενο: «Μαιευτική Γυναικολογία – Γυναικολογική Ενδοκρινολογία». Τέλος, το έτος 2012 έλαβα το δεύτερο Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης, MSc, στα «Μεταβολικά Νοσήματα των Οστών» με θέμα διπλωματικής εργασίας «Οστικές επιπτώσεις του συνδρόμου Turner» με βαθμό «Λίαν Καλώς (8.41)» και γνωστικό αντικείμενο: «Μαιευτική Γυναικολογία – Γυναικολογική Ενδοκρινολογία».
Συνέχισα τη σημαντική ακαδημαϊκή πορεία μου από το 2013 μέχρι και σήμερα ως Ακαδημαϊκή Υπότροφος, με επιστημονική υπεύθυνη την Καθηγήτρια κυρία Λαμπρινουδάκη, υπηρετώντας το ίδιο γνωστικό αντικείμενο με τίτλο «Οστεοπόρωση στη Γυναικολογία», μέχρι 31/7/2019 και από 1/9/2019 με τίτλο «Μεταβολικά νοσήματα των οστών στη Γυναικολογία», στη Β΄ Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογική Κλινική της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στο «Αρεταίειο» Νοσοκομείο.
Ως Ακαδημαϊκή Υπότροφος έχω συμμετάσχει στο πρόγραμμα εκπαίδευσης των ειδικευομένων ιατρών και των προπτυχιακών φοιτητών της Ιατρικής Σχολής με μαθήματα και κλινικές εξετάσεις ασθενών, με βιβλιογραφικές ενημερώσεις, παρουσιάσεις και ομιλίες στις επιστημονικές συναντήσεις της Κλινικής. Επιπλέον, έχω συμμετάσχει στην κλινική αντιμετώπιση, τόσο σε περιστατικά ρουτίνας, όσο και σε επιπλεγμένες περιπτώσεις, σε συνεργασία με όλα τα Ειδικά Τμήματα της Β’ Μαιευτικής και Γυναικολογικής Κλινικής του Αρεταιείου Νοσοκομείου: Τμήμα Παιδικής και Εφηβικής Γυναικολογίας, Τμήμα Πρόωρης Ωοθηκικής Ανεπάρκειας, Τμήμα Επανειλημμένων Αποβολών, Τμήμα Κλιμακτηρίου και Εμμηνόπαυσης, Τμήμα Οικογενειακού Προγραμματισμού, Τμήμα Υποβοηθούμενης Αναπαραγωγής, Τμήμα Γυναικολογικής Ογκολογίας, Τμήμα Εμβρυομητρικής Ιατρικής και Υπερηχογραφίας, Τμήμα Ουρογυναικολογίας, Τμήμα Κυήσεων Υψηλού Κινδύνου, Τμήμα Ενδοσκοπικής Χειρουργικής, Τμήμα Λεχωΐδων, Μονάδα Ενδοκρινολογίας, Μεταβολισμού και Διαβήτη, καθώς και με όλα τα Εργαστήρια, την Αίθουσα Τοκετών, και τα Εξωτερικά Μαιευτικά και Γυναικολογικά Ιατρεία.
Παρουσιάζω πλούσιο διαδακτικό – ερευνητικό – συγγραφικό έργο στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο Γυναικολογικής Ενδοκρινολογίας με την πολυετή διδασκαλία – εργασία μου στα:
Α. Κατ’ επιλογήν υποχρεωτικά μαθήματα:
1. Από το 2014-2017 διδάσκω στο κατ’ επιλογήν μάθημα «Παιδική – Εφηβική Γυναικολογία και Οικογενειακός Προγραμματισμός», με θέμα την «Ανακεφαλαίωση όλου του μαθήματος».

Δ. Σε Διδασκαλία φοιτητών Ιδιωτικών Κολλεγίων
Κατόπιν εγγραφής στο Μητρώο Διδασκόντων Κολλεγίων την 17/02/2016 (Ν. 4093/2012 (ΓΕΚ 222 Α΄) με αριθμό Μητρώου 89/2016 (αρ. πρωτ. Κ1/114336), από τον 10ο/2017 έως τον 2ο/2018, στο πλαίσιο των μαθημάτων που δίδασκα στην Αγγλική και Ελληνική γλώσσα στο τμήμα Μαιευτικής, επέβλεψα έμμισθα την εκπόνηση 2 πτυχιακών εργασιών τελειόφοιτων φοιτητριών του Προγράμματος, στην αγγλική γλώσσα με θέματα 1) «Βιταμίνη D σε αναπαραγωγική και μη αναπαραγωγική ηλικία» και 2) «Βιταμίνη D στην κύηση και στη λοχεία».

Έχω συμμετάσχει στα εξής Ερευνητικά Πρωτόκολλα με γνωστικό αντικείμενο Γυναικολογική Ενδοκρινολογία στη Β΄ Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογική Κλινική της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στο «Αρεταίειο» Νοσοκομείο: 1) «Eνδομητρίωσης I», 2) «Κυτταρολογίας τραχήλου», 3) «Ενδομητρίωσης II», 4) «Επίδρασης του ολικού σωματικού λίπους και του λιπώδους ιστού στην ανάκτηση της εμμηνορρυσίας», 5) «Προεμμηνορυσιακού συνδρόμου (PMS) – αγγειακής δυσλειτουργίας – χρόνιας φλεγμονής», 6) «Προεμμηνορυσιακού συνδρόμου (PMS) – αγγειακής δυσλειτουργίας – οξειδωτικού στρες», 7) «Νευρογενούς ανορεξίας» και 8) «Επίδρασης ενδομήτριας καθυστέρησης της ανάπτυξης στον οστικό μεταβολισμό σε επίμυες».
Αποτέλεσμα του πλούσιου ερευνητικού μου έργου είναι πλήθος Διεθνών και Ελληνικών εργασιών και ανακοινώσεων. Ο συντελεστής απήχησης που έχω σήμερα σε διεθνή περιοδικά (I.F) είναι 143,427 και ο συντελεστής απήχησης δημοσιευμένων περιλήψεων (I.F) (Suppl.) είναι 284,211. Το h index είναι 14 (764 citations ) σύμφωνα με τη Διεθνή Βάση Δεδομένων Scopus του οργανισμού Elsevier B.V. Το h index σύμφωνα με τις Διεθνείς Βάσεις Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Scisearch Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Science (CPCI-S) και Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-SSH) του οργανισμού Thomson Reuters είναι το 15 (722 citations). Το h index, σύμφωνα με τη Διεθνή Βάση Δεδομένων Harzing του Google Scholar, είναι το 18 (1.186 citations).
Επιπλέον, πρόσφατα υπήρξε βράβευση δύο εργασιών μου στην «Παιδική – Εφηβική Γυναικολογία»: 1) στο 46ο Πανελλήνιο Συνέδριο Ενδοκρινολογίας, Μεταβολισμού & Σακχαρώδη Διαβήτη, Αθήνα 2019, με το Βραβείο της καλύτερης προφορικής ανακοίνωσης: «Η παρουσία του πολυμορφισμού A1298C στο γονίδιο MTHFR (methylene-tetrahydrofolatereductase) συσχετίζεται με χαμηλότερο δείκτη μάζας σώματος σε έφηβες με νευρική ανορεξία» και 2) στο 11ο Παγκρήτιο Συνέδριο Μαιευτικής – Γυναικολογίας, Κρήτη 2019, με το βραβείο καλύτερης ανηρτημένης ανακοίνωσης: «Διερεύνηση της επίπτωσης γενετικών πολυμορφισμών αθηροσκλήρυνσης σε δείγμα εφήβων κοριτσιών με ψυχογενή ανορεξία». Έχω συγγράψει το κεφάλαιο «Ορμονική θεραπεία στην πρώιμη ωοθηκική ανεπάρκεια και πρώιμη εμμηνόπαυση», με θεματολογία: Μαιευτική Γυναικολογία – Παιδική και Εφηβική Γυναικολογία, στον Οδηγό «Κατευθυντήριες Οδηγίες για τη Χρήση της Ορμονικής Θεραπείας στην Εμμηνόπαυση» σελ. 32-38, που εκδόθηκε από την Ελληνική Εταιρεία Μελέτης Κλιμακτηρίου και Εμμηνόπαυσης (Εκδοτική Επιμέλεια Ε. Λαμπρινουδάκη, Αθήνα 2019).
Παρακολουθώ τα Διεθνή και Ελληνικά σεμινάρια-συνέδρια, τόσο στην Υπογονιμότητα, Κλιμακτήριο – Εμμηνόπαυση – Οστεοπόρωση, Παιδική και Εφηβική Γυναικολογία, αλλά και στην ευρύτερη Γυναικολογική Ενδοκρινολογία. Συμμετέχω στα Διαπανεπιστημιακά μετεκπαιδευτικά μαθήματα από το έτος 2003 και έχω πλούσιο αριθμό ομιλιών και προεδρείων σε Διεθνή και Ελληνικά συνέδρια. Είμαι Ταμίας της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Εμμηνόπαυσης και μέλος πολλών Ελληνικών και Ξένων Επιστημονικών Εταιρειών και παράλληλα συμμετέχω στην οργάνωση συνεδρίων ως μέλος οργανωτικής ή/και επιστημονικής επιτροπής.
